Estes Park Recommendations

So much to do in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park! Here are some of our friends in town that we recommend you check out. All of the businesses listed below are locally owned and operated.

Things to Do

Via Ferrata - Check out our friends at Kent Mountain Adventure Center! They've got two via ferrata experiences, cliff camping, rock climbing and much more.

Rock Climbing - KMAC offers various outdoor climbing experiences. Estes Park Mountain Shop has a full indoor climbing gym and rents equipment. A great rainy day activity!

Bicycle Rentals - Estes Park Mountain Shop rents all kinds of bikes as well as so much other type of gear

Museums - Estes Park Museum is the place to start and you can take it from there!

Exercise & Wellness - Estes Park Yoga, Estes Park Crossfit, Rocky Mountain Movement & Massage, Elements of Touch Wellness Spa

Eats & Drinks

Kind Coffee - Wake up and get kind! Great coffee, food and ice cream. Located along the Riverwalk near Ed's Cantina.

Inkwell & Brew - Fine coffees, teas, stationery, cards and gifts. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Ed's Cantina - Restaurant and bar that has a creative menu that includes a good array of vegetarian, gluten-free dishes. Indoor and outdoor seating available, on the Riverwalk downtown.

Twin Owls Steak House - Fine dining located at the Taharaa Mountain Lodge. Check out Taharaa for events and lodging, as well!

The Barrel - This place has something for everyone with a full bar, food trucks, live music, games, billiards, indoor and outdoor seating. Available for private events, as well!

Nepal's Cafe - Great food at Nepal's, which offers a large menu of Himalayan cuisine. Don't forget to try the chai.

Antonio's New York Pizza - Hands down the best pizza in town. Quality ingredients, great service, amazing owners. They make bagels, too!

Shopping

Estes Park Mountain Shop - Our local headquarters for anything you need to get into the mountains. This is a massive store that has an indoor rock climbing gym, amazing brands like Patagonia, gear rentals, bicycle rentals (e-bikes, too!). Don't forget to peruse the Bargain Basement!

Groceries - We have one supermarket in town (Safeway), as well as a smaller store called Country Market. If you are planning on staying in Estes Park and plan on cooking at home, we recommend doing a big grocery shop in one of the larger towns on your way to Estes Park. Boulder, Longmont, Loveland and Fort Collins all have many major grocery chains. There are no "health food" stores here! Safeway gets very crowded and it is the only big food store that locals have. Maybe send one or two people to shop there rather than the whole family!
